How can I upgrade my iMac from OS X v.10.5.8 to OS X v.10.7.x(Lion) using Apple AppStore?
I'm in Asia, can I download the "English Version" OS X(Lion)?

First, you must install Snow Leopard (10.6.6 or later) to access the Mac App Store. You would be accessing the store in the language used when you created your account.
You do not have to burn Lion to a DVD in order to install it.

Purchase Snow Leopard at an Apple Store or from the Online Store for $29.
Lion downloads as a self-contained installer application. Run the application to install.

There is no "English Version" of OS X, it's multilingual. You pick the language you want when you install it, and you can change it in a few seconds later via the Preferences settings.
So the only way is a double upgrade, the first from Leopard to Snow Leopard (29 $) anche the second to snow Leopard to Lion (23 $)?
I'm not Uncle Scrooge and I use Mac Os 10.5.8, can I update to Lion too?

No. The only way to install the Mac App Store is to install Snow Leopard 10.6.7, soon to be 10.6.8, which will likely be the version of Snow Leopard and the Mac App Store that you will need to purchase and download Lion.
Be greatful that they are only US$29 upgrades. To go from Tiger to Leopard was US$129!

Can I use the "Apple App Store" that is in the OS SL to purchase the OS X Lion and burn it on DVDs and install and upgrade my iMac(OS X v10.5.8) to Lion?

You can buy Lion with the MBP. You should be able to copy the Lion Installer to the iMac. The question that I cannot answer is if the Installer will run on Leopard. Snow Leopard may be a requirement for the installer to function.
But if you do a web search you will find instructions for creating a startup disc from the Lion installer that will run from a DVD, a thumb drive and even an SD card.
But that raises another question. If you make a Time Machine backup of your iMac and then Install Lion, can Lion do a migration of your MT backup of Leopard? Or does it have to be a backup of Snow Leopard?

You may be able to only download once. Sometimes programs are removed from the App Store, so there is no guarantee that software you purchase and download will be available in the future.
All downloaded software should be well archived on disc and a hard drive (along with any updates).

You can't purchase Snow Leopard from the Mac App Store. Or "download" it. That will be possible for Lion.
For the Apple Online store, why can't you just look for yourself?
I believe you can borrow a Mac with Snow Leopard or Lion from your friend, use your own Mac App Store account to buy and download dmg file for Lion. Then copy it to a USB drive and do whatever you want with it -- burn to a DVD or restore to anexternal drive, boot your mac with it, and voila!
