Safari Google search suggestions not working after Security Update 2011-003

Mine is not working either. Bing and Yahoo work with suggestions, but not Google. I did both of the updates mentioned above yesterday. Anyone have any idea what is causing this?

The probelm seems to be solved now.. not wure what happened there but it's gone 🙂

Hey mine is not working! Bing and Yahoo are not working too!!! and this started when I updated to the new Mac OSX "Lion" and updated everything else.

Anyway, if I reset the safari (Safari tab> reset safari> must choose remove all website data!) then it starts working but as soon as i close the safari and open it again it will not work again!!!

I played with lots of things but...

Anybody have any suggestion???

Really not sure why this worked for me, but I ran into this problem on two MacBook Pros with Lion and Safari 5.1. This fixed it on both.

Google auto-suggestions not showing when Sarari is used in the new Full Screen mode.

Move your cursor to the top of Safari so the Menu Bar appears.

Press the arrow box in the upper right corner to show Safari in a non-full-screen window

Google suggestions will now work

Press the arrow box at the upper right corner to return Safari to full screen

Google suggestions will still work.

Confirmed. Running Safari 5.1 on recently updated 10.7.1. Search suggestions work in windowed Safari, but not fullscreen.

However, after going to windowed mode, opening search suggestions, then going back to fullscreen, they worked again.

Haha. That did the trick for me too. This has beeen bugging me all week but I haven't taken the time to search out the answer!

Question: did ANYBODY here report this bug to Apple? I will if nobody else has.
