creating a hot link?

I've searched the forum and found 1 suggestion involving setting a hyperlink to create a hotlink that the receiver of my E-mail can click on and open the website. It didn't work. Is it possible to use Mail to do this? If so, I'd really like to know! Thanks!

To add a hyperlink with Tiger Mail, select/highlight the word or all text that you want as the hyperlink and at the menu bar, go to Edit and select Add Hyperlink.

Enter the internet address (URL) for the link in the space provided and when finished, select OK and the highlighted word or text will become active (underlined and changed color) before the message is sent.
