27" Apple Cinema Display VS 27" iMac any difference?

Hi, I'm planning on getting either a 27" iMac or a Mac Pro with a 27" ACD. Does the 27" iMac have better picture quality than the apple cinema display or are they the same. The reason I ask is because my dad's 24" iMac always had clearer and better colors than my 24" Apple Cinema Display (Maybe cause it has a different panel?). The 27" Apple Cinema Display looks to have better colors than my 24" ACD I have at home. I want to get my new Apple computer with the best display possible. Should I go with the new 27" iMac or a Mac Pro with a 27" ACD?
