I have problems and Apple does not want help

You will see the problem withthe computer for which you are annoyed by the hard drive where smart verification failsand tells me I have to changethe hard disk.
I tried not to disturb and replace the hard drive myself, but this team and its driver gives problems with SATAdrives that do not bear the Apple firmware, which are described in your techsupport forums

As you can see there two threads with literally hundreds of pages on the incident.

The problem is that the same hard disk carrying thenotebook without the Apple firmware is worth € 52 but if Apple bought the costis 300 €, the same drive just with different firmware but it makes that thehard drive "NO APPLE "problem which is an abuse by Apple against itscustomers and a clear assault on the consumer.

What hard drive could buy?, do not want problems, Can anyone give their experience?
I've been watching this that is very similar to what has by default

Hi, I have had a similar problem with my mid 2009 MBP. I still got the original 250Gb disk on it now, because I don't want to be in the same condition I have been last year, when I tried to upgrade my disk with a bigger one, that couldn't be mounted on. I replaced it by myself as I have always done from my old iBook and G3's. The Apple service where I finally brought it to,because I couldn't understand why it didn't work, didn't even know WHY, and they replaced the motherboard, but still no solution for the disk. I have been using it with an external USB disk for months, then I decided to put in the original one. The problem was actually that I couldn't install the OS on it. Or, if I did it by connecting it via external USB cable, it worked. But as soon as I put it inside the computer, it didn't. I made a CCopy of the internal disk before phisically installing it, that's why I used this way. Anyway, did you have the same problem? You think that by buying this disk, I would finally have the chance to get a fully working 500Gb disk on mine? The 250 is driving me crazy with moving stuff on external disks... Thank you very much

Many, many thanks for this post!

I've been struggling to find a compatible drive for use with my MacBook Pro 13" 2.53GHz mid 2009, but I purchased the Hitachi HTS545050B9A300 500 GB (5K500.B) drive after reading about it here, and have had zero issues with lagging and beachballing.

In addition, it's nearly as quiet as the original drive, and runs cold even under heavy use.

Brilliant, you made my year!
