Jul 8, 2011 12:38 PM in response to sledordieby juanfromorlando,Hey guys. I have same problem. I went looking around and it says i need to run the Bonjour service. Try installing this and then going to prefferences in Itunes and setting it up. I hope this works.

Jul 8, 2011 12:56 PM in response to sledordieby juanfromorlando,It has worked. Install the Bonjour. Then go to preferences in Itunes. Make sure you click on Shared Library. Then go to sharing tab and share library. After saving, close itunes and reopen. Works great!!!

Nov 19, 2011 8:54 PM in response to sledordieby Essie from Port,I too, recently updated to itunes 10.5, and it stopped my home share working- even though it is showing home share "on" - I tried uninstalling & reinstalling an older version of itunes but itunes kept updating it automatically, umpteen times.
With so many users with the same problem why don't Apple send us a solution or allow us to go back to the older version of itunes while they fix this? -
Nov 20, 2011 1:08 AM in response to sledordieby PremierITA,Same problem for me.
Before installing iTunes 10.5.1 i've used home sharing from iMac and PC to ATV2, iPhone and iPad.
Now, with iTunes 10.5.1 i'm unable to use home sharing.
Any ideas?
Thank you.

Very frustrating.

Dec 29, 2011 9:32 PM in response to periwinkleblueby Mrxsloth,I have the solution:
When using Home Sharing on a mac,
Open system preferences and go to sharing.
Make sure that file sharing is selected.
It worked for me, hope it works for you.

Dec 29, 2011 10:48 PM in response to sledordieby DJ Jim C,Found the fix.
In iTunes, click "Advanced"
Turn OFF Home Sharing.
Turn it back ON and it will ask for your iTunes password. Put that in and click "Done."
Repeat on ALL your machines.
This will reactivate Home Sharing, Importing, etc.
