Have you recently upgraded your OS? Has the trial version ever worked on your system? Have you tried downloading the trial version again?

I bought the Mac some weeks ago, upgraded regulary. first time I tried to install Aperture, tried a second download after. downloaded Aperture 3 update, still it has the same problems

This looks like the Final Cut issue. Do you have Final Cut installed on your machine?

Check out this support document: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3528

Even if you don't, I would follow the directions on installing the combo update.

Final Cut Pro 7 is installed, nothing older. the combo update should already be installed, because I bought the Mac Book Pro in May 2011 und updated it regulary.

Please read the support article. The combo update will install the proper plugin manager. Final Cut installs a version that doesn't work well with Aperture.

I tried to install the combo update, but it doesn't. It tells me 'cannot be installed on this version', maybe because it is already?

Did you see near the bottom of the page that if it is a MacBook Pro bought new earlier this year, you will have to take some different steps.

as I said, the combo update cannot be installed on 'this version'

How can I check why or if it was already done when I bought the computer in May.

very strange, I have the newest Mac Book Pro and cannot install Aperture 3 - anybody else has the same problem?

Ah, my bad. I thought you downloaded from the App Store...

I still may try reinstalling the PluginManager as that is what is giving the issue.

As I said: the computer starts installing the combp update, but when looking for the volume it tells me: cannot be installalled because my volume doesn't have the rigth conditions for installing.

I give up.loosing too much time. I just wanted to test the new Aperture app an a new Mac Book Pro.
