What is the fix for an HDCP error appears for MLB.TV?

I've been using Apple TV 2 with an HDCP complaint Sony KLV-S23A10 (HDTV) to watch MLB.TV without any problem for two months, Suddenly, today, I get an HDCP error message. I have tried to remedy the problem by following various fixes suggested on these fora: Unplugging power from ATV, unplugging both ends while ATV is on, and I have reset and restored the unit. None have fixed the problem. Why after fine playing for two months does this suddenly occur?What is the fix?

Did you try another cable, borrow one for diagnostics in case it isn't the cable.

No I have not tried another cable. Winnie, I appreciate your suggestion. I"ve seen it elsewhere in disucssion, but I must wonder "What could have changed suddenly with an HDMI cable purchsed new from the Apple Store only two months ago?" Do they just go south suddenly? In any event, I'll fetch one at the Apple Store and inquire of the a free genius, when I'm about my errands today, and report.

Problem solved! Called Apple Care which suggested unplugging the TV itself and then the ATV and replugging in that order after a adequate delay. The fix worked.
