Unfortunately, I can't show you because neither of us is able to access the AppStore, but if we were we would find a lite version called MacKeeper 911 Bundle. Admittedly, it's not the same as the one we mostly complain about here, but it is from the same folks.

May be a dumb question but, who actually puts on this "MAC WORLD" and does Apple have any legal rights to keep Zerobit out? My guess is anybody can get a both their if they are willing to pay for it.

Another question but keep in mind I no computer guru. Why can't you access the AppStore? And when I click on your 911 Bundle it takes me to a "Zerobit" address. I searched the apple store and can't find any "MacKeeper" and when I go to the apple retail store and even mention "MacKeeper" I can't even get a reply from anyone, they seem to avoid the topic at all cost which to me says Zreobit must have some good lawyers

😀 Likely, since it seems they must have a lot of money since you see there ads everywhere.

I've quit linking yo most sites that carry ads for it, even the ads/downloads are sneaky. 😟

If it's in the App Store, in whatever form, that says all you need to know about the App Store and Apple's vetting process.

The point about Macworld is interesting. Seems their presence there, just as in the App Store, is kind of meaningless. I would think sooner or later Apple will wise up, since it's not helping Apple's reputation.

I would have thought Apple's legal talent could crush zeobit like a small bug, if they really wanted to.

Sorry to have confused. My Macworld and Apple comments were separate.

Macworld|iWorld (formerly Macworld Expo) has always been put on by IDG and Apple never had a say about who would be there or when it was, which is why they dropped out of first NYC and then SF shows several years ago? They were tired of having their release schedules dictated by IDG and Macworld. IDG has a lot to say about who is there and as a result of who all they had this year, I don't see myself going again.

My Apple comment referred to the AppStore.

Another question but keep in mind I no computer guru. Why can't you access the AppStore?

Still running Leopard on this iMac G5.

Found it here. I guess Leopard users can view descriptions in the AppStore, just much harder to find.

Yeah, they probably voted for themselves to get an award. They also have their employees write good reviews for it, too!

Your link takes me to the 911 bundle but, when I type the address in myself and try to find anything to do with mackeeper, 911 bundle or zerobit I can't find it and when I type in for a search it comes up "no results found"

I figured it would have been under "UTILITIES" but check under multiple categories and couldn't find it. Can you tell me how to find it from the app-store home page?

Sorry to be such an idiot but, I don't trust links. especially if I'm spending money, giving my info and/or downloading unless I start at the home page from my address bar

Googling tells me that IDG would be International Data Group.

Apple dropped out of Macworld Expo NY after 2003 and Macworld Expo SF after 2009. Now they have special events of their own to announce new updates and product lines.

Not me, as I said those of us not running Snow Leopard or Lion are "AppStore Deprived" so somebody else will need to help you with that.

Nah, I'm staying away from anything from zerobit. I was just trying to figure out what you were saying. it seemed like you were claiming if they were at Macworld they were endorsed by apple. my miss understanding. if apple endorsed them I might not be so negitive towards them. I downloaded and never installed mackeeper and was then having problems with my Mac so I trashed everything I could find and it kept comming back, so I trashed and secure empty and eveything was fine. like someone else posted on here. I won't have nothing to do with a site that even has a mackeeper ad on it. Just the other day I was looking for some software to help me with my home vidieos and one of the higher recomended software companies had an ad about running mackeeper before you install, I just closed that page and went to the next company.

I know they're everywhere, but using Firefox with AdBlock Plus and NoScript, I've never seen one of those ads.

1) Anyone who pays for a booth at an expo can sit there and sell their wares.

2) Anyway - MacKeeper's unethical tactics are directed at people who download the trial and then decide NOT to buy it. The Trial contains what I call 'space invader' software that begins to fill up your computer with fat, empty hidden files that begin to eat up your memory slowing down your system ... in an effort to FORCE you to buy their program to fix "your problem" which you didn't have before you downloaded the trial. So if you BUY their **** program, which is what they want, I imagine they sell you the "antidote" to their space invader ... but do you want to do business with a company that operates this way??? That's rather the point here, I think.
