error code 3259
I keep getting error code 3259 when I try to do the new iphone update?

Disable ALL security apps (firewall, antivirus/spyware, etc.) running on your computer.
Hey. When your ipod is connected to the itunes press and hold both the power and the home button at the same time. keep holding both untill the connect to itunes symbol apears on the ipod. (which looks like a data cable going to a itunes logo) keep holding the two even when the apple logo comes on. When the connect to itunes logo shows up, look at youre itunes and it will say that your ipod is in def mode and needs to be restores. restore it and youll have the ipod as good as new. on newest ios.
( if while restoring a window pops up that it cant continue due to missed internet connection, and shows error 3259, turn off and exit all the anti virus progrems you are running, and turn off your firewall. do the holding the power and home thing one more time and restore it this time and it should work.)

This worked for me when my ipod tough 4g got stuck in recovery mode.

I got the error 3259 for iPhone 3GS 16GB.
What I did:
1) Disabled my anti virus kasperisky
2) Then logout using Menu itunes-> Store->SignOut and then SignIn. After these 2 steps, it worked well and i got the IOS5.
I have the same error (3259) happening still after 11 times trying! 😟
Can someone tell me how to resolve the problem?? i don't know whats wrong with my internet or firewall setting!!
yeah i have this it gets so far then fails its not as if it hasn't been downloading at all, this is what is so stupid about this error i think its an apple problem. i will try the firewall suggestion, as my itunes is already up to date and see if that helps
i disabled all the firewalls, and anti-virus system and the download got all the way to the end then gave me error -50. Said If I continued I would lose all info. what does that even mean????

I did what Robin07a did and that FINALLY worked. Disabled my Kasperski internet and signed out of itunes then tried it and it worked a charm!

It works!
This is what I did:
- Sign-out and sign back in.
- Flush the DNS. (Open CMD and type "ipconfig /flushdns")
- Disable windows firewall.
Then, after trying to download iOS 7.0.6 for the n th time, it worked! I think signing-out and signing back in is the key.
