Mac doesn't lock with full screen keynote presentation

Hi,

I have the option enabled in the settings to lock the screen when waking from sleep.

Normal behaviour - close the lid of the laptop to go to sleep. When you open it, it will ask for a password.

Keynote behaviour - open a presentation and play it fullscreen. Close the lid and the machine goes to sleep, when you open it you are back on the presentation with no password and unrestricted access to the computer.

This seems like a huge security oversight for OSX. When you close the lid of the laptop, you expect it to be locked when someone else tries to use the computer next. If you happen to leave a fullscreen keynote running it bypasses the security measures.

Hi tjk,

Thanks for your reply.

The mac is going to sleep.

The issue seems to be that full screen keynote presentations override the screensaver coming on automatically - to stop the presentation being inturrupted. It is the screensaver which provides the screen lock when the system wakes up from sleep.

Whilest you don't want the screen saver to inturrupt presetnations, you do want your system locked when it wakes up from sleep. It seems to be an oversight.
