Can not be deleted, but you could move it to an unused folder or page.

It cannot be done. I suggest that you create a folder called "Unused" and put it there to keep it and others out of the way.
Since game center can not be remove, do like most people do. Do not buy any game that is associated with game center. I can not make any logic of why anyone will want buy a game that can be play without internet connection.
Just because a game has Game Center support doesn't mean the game itself requires Internet access in order to be played.
Do "most people" really do that? Most people I know totally ignore Game Center, and don't let it interfere in the game buying decision one way or another. Would be a shame to miss out on a game you enjoy just because it is associated with Game Center, particularly when nobody is forcing you to use Game Center with the game.
"Do not buy any game that is associated with game center"
Why not?
" can not make any logic of why anyone will want buy a game that can be play without internet connection."
I cannot make logic of why anyone would write this...
So you only concern about a game is that it requires an internet connection?
I want to get rid of game center because I don't play games. I didn't buy an iPhone or an iPad to play games. I don't want my grandkids trying to play games on them. I don't want to give up any memory for a game app that I will never use.

Game Center does not play games or install games.
It is not a game app.
It cannot be deleted.
If you share an itunes account with your kids - cough - you can be stuck with several insipid games and if one wants to add friends that are not friends with your small children...difficult to undo!

Much easier to not let your kids download "insipid"games.
Also, don't give your kids your iTunes account password and they cannot use it in Game Center.
I'm a novice. How can you tell if a game is associated with Game Center before you buy it? I don't want to play games with others on the web, I just want to get rid of the annoying pop up. Is there a way to do that?

Turn it off in Settings > Notifications.
Thanks for suggestion, but I checked my settings in Notifications. Game Center is off. I have never had a problem with Game Center until I upgraded my software on my iPhone 4. I thought it had to do with the iCloud, but was told it was not. The pop up to log in to Game Center shows up every time I start certain games. I select "cancel" option of pop up, then another pop up comes up telling me Game Center has been disabled. Between this and the ads, it is really aggravating!
Is there a way to restore deleted games in my game center?
Did you back up regularly?
