havent found any reference on Apple's site and the marketing doesn't seem to show much difference from 3.5 :/
It is 64 bit. Other than that, they added a bunch of new formats (Hello, Open EXR and TIFF!) and there are more and easier hooks into Qmaster for distributed rendering.
It's quicker too!
Would love to see it in new FCP black though.
something is definitely off then perhaps you had unrendered source in FCPX something that takes 45 minutes to export should never take only 30 minutes to export.
I closed compressor, then moved the ProMSrenderertool.plist from my home directory library ~/Library/Preferences reopened it and it is much faster. that ProMSRendertool still spikes but not as bad
