I should really say I don’t play WoW and don’t play allot of games anymore. AnyhowI would like to know if I did decided to play it i could.

This would be my 1st Mac as i normally buy Windows laptops with graphicscards.
I have been told that Intel graphics in the Mac book pro 13” has some kick init

It will crawl below 30fps people are reporting, the 13" it's all integrated graphics and the small screen doesn't lend itself well to 3D gaming.

Perhaps your better off getting the 13" and a console instead.

And if your really trying to save money, a PC laptop with integrated graphics can be had for $800, instead of the $1500 (AppleCare + tax) the 13" will cost.

There is little advantage to Apple hardware in the integrated graphics zone of their hardware lineup really.

Microsoft Security Essentials is free, a little care and a Windows machine makes a great simplistic use machine for not a lot of money.

But on the other hand... 😀

I used to play World of Warcraft. I played it on a Cube with 1.5gb of RAM, a third-party 1.0ghz G4 processor, and an original-equipment 32mb Radeon graphics card. I have also played it on my 7.5-year-old laptop which has 2gb of RAM, a 1.25ghz G4 processor, and a graphics card with 64mb of memory. The last time I played it was on a 2.0ghz G5 iMac with 2gb of RAM and 128mb of graphics memory.

So yes, you should be able to play WoW on a 2011 model 13" MacBook Pro, since it is WAY better than any of those machines I used to play it on. It won't play as well as it would on a machine of equally-recent vintage with a discrete graphics processor, but it will work. Any framerate much above 25fps isn't going to be very noticeable, anyway - at least, it's not for me. And you should be able to at least average that amount, since even my Cube could do that.

The problem with just getting by with 25-30 fps is that programs get updated and you can't update the hardware without buying a new one.

So the purpose with the powerful 1GB Radeon 6750M is future proofing, eventually even it will become obsolete, but at least not in the next few months to a year.

Also there are other games that have other hardware reguirements and the integrated graphics fail miserably on nearly all of them.

With 3D gaming and hardware purchases, especially laptops where you can't upgrade the GPU, you buy as much performance as you can upfront so you can game as long as you can.

Find the Intel HD 3000 on this list and see for yourselves.

The 6750M is three times faster than the HD 3000.

That means roughly it's going to last 3 years compared to 1 year for the HD 3000.

If WOW is getting 25 fps on the 3000, and 75 fps on the 6750M that's 3x as well.
