Is there a card reader that i can use in my Macbook USB port that will allow me to download photos onto my Macbook from a (Sony) Duo Pro Media Stick?
You'll need to check in a store to find a USB reader that will handle the format of your memory card - if it's not a card (not sure what you mean by media stick), but more like a thumb drive, you should be able to simply plug that in.
Thanks, It is a memory card- Sony calls it a Memory Stick. I bought a reader at Best Buy but when I got it home I realized it doesn't work for the Duo Pro cards. Washoping someone knew of a reader that works.
I don't own anything Sony and use Sandisk High Speed cards (which came with their own high speed reader); when you're looking for anything like that, you need to know what format you have and either ask or read through tiny small print at the store. Did someone at Best Buy tell you it would work - then I'd try to return it.

I think you may need an adapter to get the card to mount in a card reader.
The small card fits in the adapter which makes it longer and then it should fit any USB reader the takes Sony memory sticks.

Thanks everyone for your responses. I found what I was looking for . It's a card reader made by Sony MRW66E/H1/181 External USB Plug and Play Memory Stick Duo Reader/Writer (Black) for $19.I read the reviews on Amazon and it looks like what I need for our Sony Cybershot cameras.
More than the reviews, did you check the formats the reader will support (the type of cards)? I didn't look at your link because I'm not familiar with the type of Sony card you have; hopefully this will be the right one for you - and have you tried returning the other one?
I concur with Babowa. I also have nothing from Sony. All of my media is from Lexar.
