Hello, I plugged in a usb connected to my android phone, but can't find the device on the mac. The phone recognized the connection and I mounted it, however on the mac no screen popped up or anything, and idk where to find the device so that I can't intregrate with and exchange material with my phone.

Yep, the Macintosh needs to manually download a driver to speak to an Android phone. How quaint ;-)

Try to go to finder > general. Tick the external disks box if it haven't been ticked yet.
Your external disks icon will appear in your homescreen or finder tab.

Well, don't forget the old method - reboot your mac. I have this problem from time to time, and reboot always solve it.
Finder- Preferences-general-Check USB and VOILA!
