I can't find my usb device on the mac

Hello, I plugged in a usb connected to my android phone, but can't find the device on the mac. The phone recognized the connection and I mounted it, however on the mac no screen popped up or anything, and idk where to find the device so that I can't intregrate with and exchange material with my phone.

My problem seems more extreme: my MacBook Pro (2015 13" Retina) cannot detect USB drives, either in Finder, Disk Utility or Terminal. The drives work fine in an almost identical Macbook. Both USB ports give the same outcome, so a hardware defect at the port seems unlikely. Any ideas very welcome!

iMac family must have! Huback make you more convenient to use USB.

To put it bluntly, Huback is a USB 3.0 Hub only, but it is not just a USB Hub only through the precise size and design ingenuity, Hubackconnect the computer end of the USB cable to make a similar fixture design, so that can be firmly clamped Huback the iMac, the USB extend below the front screen, not only easy to use, but also eliminates problems on the table the whole line, more beautiful.
