I removed Final Cut Pro X, and it's gone. However i still don't have my Angry Birds update... hmmm.

Hmmm, removing FCPX ... this does not make sense at all. The issue comes from either the MacAppStore app itself OR from an updated component of 10.6.8

I have "fixed" my issue by just suppressing the MacAppStore app version 1.0.2 (build 63.1) and replacing it by 1.0.1 (build 63) that was coming from my other Mac running Mac OSX 10.6.7.

I am trying to get new app after that and it worked fine. I was not having any Angry Bird fake updates (fiy I NEVER bought Angry Birds).

I am just hoping now that I will be able to get OSX Lion thru the MacAppStore.

Also, as other people have already said, all of this does not makes sense: I got a fresh install of OSX 10.7 DP4 with MacAppStore 1.1 that was experiencing this issue too.

Last, this thread https://discussions.apple.com/thread/2800264?start=30&tstart=0 is reporting OTHER email addresses related to this issue.

Some people have recommended to wipe out their HD and do a fresh install and seen it worked. But that is NOT an option for me.

so, i deleted the final cut pro x and the message dissapears, and then i reinstalled it and it's all normal without that message

I have the same problem. It's seems to be releated with Final Cut Pro X because also me have it insalled on my Mac just yesterday and I NEED it so i can't unisntall it. Now I'm looking for a previous version of the Mac App Store and hope it run.

LOL, delete those stolen copies of Final Cut Pro X and Motion 5 and you're good.

I never had the Angry Birds on my Mac either, and the problem came up with the latest 10.6.8 update... really weird... 😟

Your pirated copy of Final Cut X and/or Motion 5 is the culprit.

I bought Motion 5. I still had the issue. Deleted it. I don't have the issue.

Motion 5 shows the issue no matter what. I got support with Apple about it and they said they are beta testing for it right now 🙂. So don't say all these people pirated Motion 5 or FCX. Thanks! Have a great day! 😀.

you just have to remove the receipt data that is in your FCPX Folder under Contents/_MASReceipt/

or you just buy FCPX and try it legal to avoid problems like that 😮 😉

this is also annying because u cannot install the app itself now even if u wanted to

i had the same problem but its actually really easy to fix. it caused by fcpx or motion five. all you need to do it go to the app > show package contents > Contents > _MASReceipt > open the file (receipt) scrol down till you see angry birds and just delete it and then save it and the problems fixed. hope it helped.
