Remote Control Mac

I am extremely good at computers and sometimes my neighbors ask for help with them. I use a Mac and all of my friends do also. I was wondering if there was any way to remotely control my neightbors computers on a different network without installing VNC and without much or any setup. I have seen other computer techs just tell their clients to run a program and they are able to do it that way, but that was on a PC. Is there any program like this on a Mac? Thanks for any answers!

You can use screen sharing in iChat.

As suggested iChat Screen Sharing would most likely be the best. You could even get them their own AOL Instant Messenger (AIM) accounts, if they do not have a MobileMe, AIM, or gTalk style account already configured in their iChat client.

iChat Screen Sharing has the advantage that you can also be talking with them while you are working on their Mac via an iChat Audio connection.

A reasonable alternative would be TeamViewer.com which is very straight forward to download, start and make a connection to the other side. You do not need an account, you do not need to register. All you need to do is have your neighbor tell you the connection code.

You could try Skype screen sharing, but like iChat, you need to have an account for both your and your neighbor(s)/friend(s)
