cannot type capital letter r with shift r

Hey guys im a new mac user

i found that i cannot type 'R' with Shift + r, but can do it with caps lock on. There is no problem with other letters

i checked shift + r is not bound to any short cut

anyone can help?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.7)

Ah, clever! Thanks for the suggestion. I'll give it a try tomorrow morning when I have some free time and my full attention to test it out.
