how snap video marker to audio marker

i do a lot of music video editing. my normal flow is to add markers to key points in the vidoes (verse 1, chorus, etc). then i preview the new remixed audio and add the same markers to the audio. then i would add the video to the timeline and cut at all the markers. then i would add the audio to the timeline. next i would rate stretch the cut video clips to align to the corresponding audio markers.

in fcp x i can add markers to the video and the audio and i can cut the video with the blade tool. so how can i edit the video clip so that the video marker snaps (aligns) with the audio marker?

even with snapping turned on, the only thing that snaps to markers is the skimmer.

Final Cut Pro X-OTHER, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

Hope I'm understanding you correctly:

Put markers on the audio and video clip sync points.

Set the playhead on the appropriate point on one clip.

Drag the other clip until its marker snaps into place.

In fact, if you use a marker on the one clip, and place the playhead at the appropirate point on the other clip (with snapping on) they will snap together.
