Imported videos are too dark

I just purchased Final Cut Pro X, thanks to new low price, and finally a new interface that makes video editing easier. (I actually like the new interface, iMovie simplicty means less learning curve)


However, I am having problems with all the movies that imported from websites, and cameras. It appears too dark, as seen in screenshot:

(Note the original video, which is located in QuickTime X, and video found in Final Cut Pro)

Is there any way to fix this issue? Is this due to issue with graphics card?

I had exactly the same issue - very dark viewer which in no way related to the exported QuickTime video. Looking through this and other posts really helped. I viewed the QuickTime export and FCPX viewer on the screen at the same time and then switched through the the display profiles until I found one that matched, I chose the adobe profile.
