upgraded iCal question

I have just upgraded my iCal application as the old one was no longer supported. I am running on G5 desktop - so no Intel chip and can't upgrade OS to Snow Leopard. Anyway, I have had calendar syncing problems btwn desktop (OS 10.5.8) iPhone 3GS. Supposedly the upgrade will solve teh problem but it has to do with Mobile ME and we all know that iCloud is on its way.

Anyway, what I don't know is how to find my new iCal application. IS it only Intrenet based and I need to log on through Safari? Is my local desktop app no longer my current calendar? How do I cahgen what app will sync with my iPhone?

How did you upgrade the iCal application?

If you upgraded using the MobileMe Web application you will not see a user interface change on your desktop iCal.

Try using MobileMe: Using Mac OS X Leopard v10.5.x with the MobileMe Calendar, and see if that helps you get on track with syncing.
