Why won't my ipod touch charge?

I have an iPod touch 4th generation 8GB with iOS 4.3.3 that will charge and sync on my computer and kodak easy share. But if it is plugged into a wall, car, or dock charger it will not charge. I believe it is a software problem because it works on the computer. I have already tried: going into settings>General>Reset> Reset all settings, I did a full restore through iTunes, I have tried out many different chargers, I updated to the latest iOS and still I have had no luck. I'm pretty smart about technological things but I just can't figure this thing out.

Do the "non-working" chargers work for other devices?

Does the iPod give you a message? Or does the iPod just not charge?

Hello I need a lot of help because I brought an ipod touch 4th gen 8gb (refurbished) off ebay and it does not charge ive used the usb sync wire that I got with it but it keeps on doing this after a 1hr or more.Please help me! Its for my sister`s birthday.

Try another cable if you haven't already. That one in the picture looks pretty old.

hum thats charging but the battery is not accepting it. return it to the ebay seller
