comprehensive update

Good Morning,

I am using a Mac Pro to do Computer examinations with for my job. The Mac Pro is a Early 2009 Dual Quad Core 8GB model and it has never been updated from its original OSX 10.6.3 and now the software used requires a minimum of Windows 7. I need to see if there is a comprehensive update available for download to bring this system up to current update status. This computer CAN NOT be connect to the internet for ANY reason and needs to be updated by removable thumb drives. Any assistance you can give would be greatly appreciated.

Apple Support Boot Camp

Thumb drive? what about SDHC which I have and from 32MB up to 32GB

Or just copy to a USB/FW drive of course.

This doesn't make any sense - Windows 7 SP1 with all the updates each month has something to do with this why? And 10.6.3-10.6.8?

OK,

Maybe I didnt Explain it well Enough. The current system is running Bootcamp 3.0 and OSX 10.6.3 and Windows XP SP3. We need to install windows 7 Pro 64 Bit for our new software to work. From what I can see from specs from apple support, you need to have at least bootcamp 3.1 and updated 10.6 in order for 64bit windows to run correctly in bootcamp. All I am trying to find out is if there is a way to do all this with a single download like the Service packs with windows. These computers cannot be connected to the internet because they would not become forensicly secure anymore. Hope this clears up a few questions.

Do a full format of the partition with Windows 7. Look for System Builder SP1 $130.

The 3.1 UPDATE is after Windows is installed from 12/2009 because Apple 3.0 is buggy and was released before Windows 7 was even ready or went RTM. Current version of drivers is 3.2.

Snow Leopard has nothing to do and isn't not a 'requirement' - especially when Windows is on its own drive. The people that write some of those articles should be shot.

From XP to 7 is a CLEAN full install, not custom or anything, and you can't upgrade from 32-bit to 64-bit Windows safely any other way.

Even if you are not going to be on the net, which I think is a huge mistake, and you should still use MS Security Essentials - you will have trouble with Windows by not allowing updates.

Windows can be secured. People on PCs boot into VHD - running and booting a VM.

Windows doesn't run IN Boot Camp. It boots off its own drive, partitioned with Windows, and using Apple drivers and services same as any other motherboard maker.

Windows on a Mac, and only use "Boot Camp" for drivers, use BC Assistant to refer to partitioning if you have a hard drive shared and dual booting both OSs.

Mac OS X doesn't run in or under Disk Utility either, though it boots off GUID or GPT style disks and Windows looks for and boots off Master Boot Record.
