The subject says it all. Can I use Compressor to convert m2ts AVCHD files to mov or mp4? I don't want to buy first and find out that the app doesn't support that. Thanks in advance.

To answer my own question: It isn't possible to convert m2ts files using Compressor.
what do you mean M2TS AVCHD files? one or the other isn't it?
I manage to encode M2TS files to blu ray in compressor, also works in compressor 3.5
M2ts is just the file extension. Compressor cannot import AVCHD files with m2ts or m2t extension.
I know that I can take a project and export it to AVCHD and the burn it to a bluray but this is not what I mean. I want to be able to import AVCHD files to compressor in order to encode them to something else, for example QuickTime movie.
I think what you need is a video converter, there are many ones in App store, but all of them should be paid first. If you want to try first to check whether it satisfies you, you can search one in google. And you can try Total Video Converter , which has several-day trial.
