Oversize drive: Will it work?
I have a Powerbook G4 titanium 800 mhz laptop. The internal disk has crashed. It is a 40 GB drive.
I want to replace it with a 160 GB drive that I have on the shelf. But due to the complexity of the installation
I don't want to just "try it".
I know that the ATA bus limits the disk size to 128 GB. But can I put the big disk in anyway and use it? Or
will the system just fail to operate at all?
