Existing Template as New Sheet

Is there a way to add a sheet (table? - not sure what the difference is), which I have saved as a template, to an existing spreadsheet? When I right click on "Talbe 1" (or what I changed its name to) on the left hand side I only get the option of opening a new sheet, which opens a new sheet within that spreadsheet but it is unformatted so I'd have to start from scratch with formulas and the general layout. Is there not a way to load a new table, within that same overall spreadsheet, but to select a template I have saved? (the template would be the same as the layout/formulas of the existing table, but the data would be derived from a different source, so I want to group this data together but separate it within the same overall spreadsheet, as I change sources over time).

Thanks.

Mark

Isn't this problem Ridiculous !? This problem has existed since <=2011; it's now June 2017 and still exists. Why on earth hasn't Apple enable the ability to add a sheet template to existing NUMBERS spreadsheet, as easy as inserting extra page template to PAGES document?

Dare I give credit to Microsoft Excel for allowing that ability; who knows, maybe they can't do it either?

A 'sheet' is like a piece of paper that you can put many tables on. I don't know what the limit is but, as in my screenshot, you can add multiple sheets, each having multiple tables. I have one Numbers document with about 10 sheets each with about 4 tables, one of which is nearly 400 rows long (it's my weather tracking document).

You can duplicate an existing table or copy & paste one from another sheet or even another Numbers document if you don't want to start from scratch each time. Perhaps have your own default template with several tables meeting various criteria that you could open & copy/paste from.
