Can't open .jar files

Can't open .jar files

I have been trying open a .jar file for a game, but whenever I do an error message appears that saying that t could not be launched, and to check the console for errors. I checked the console, and it says,

I have the latest java, and I have searched numerous other discussions, but I have found no help. Please, does anybody know what's going on?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.5.8)

Ok, your Mac already has a Jar launcher, the associations are fine as it opened and a error occurred

What possibly is the problem is the jar file is corrupted or the latest security changes to Java in 10.6.8 might have rendered this file unable to be opened.

Download it and try again.

I have the same problem. my MacBook can't open .jar files for agame. I get the same error message. I tried downloading it again, but the same problem occurs.

What can I do?

And what do those links have anything to do with the problem?

It is an unarchiving utility that allows you to open .jar files. It worked wonders for me.

Ah, I believe we have different problems. I wanted to open up, or extract my .jar files. You want to run them. If you can't run them, I don't know how to help you. I am sorry.
