First get DiskWarrior and see if it can resolve your HDD problem . It is amazing what this utility can do for disk problems. I have used it since version 1.0 and it has spared me grief many times on many Macs.
If your problems are resolved by by DiskWarrior then I would clone the Mac OS partition with SuperDuper or Carbon Copy Cloner (both are excellent products) to an external drive as a bootable (GUID partition table) backup.
You can use this drive for clone restoration or as a base for repair utilities.
For the BootCamp partition strongly consider Paragon Hard Disk Manager 2011 Suite to backup to an external HDD formated NTFS. From this you can restore to an existing or newly created BootCamp partition.
If you do have an unrepairable HDD hardware problem then I would clone the Mac OS and BootCamp so as to be able to clone back to a new drive.
SuperDuper costs $27.95 for full features and Carbon Copy Cloner is donation ware.
