Sleep - OS X 10.6.8

After a recent upgrade to OS X 10.6.8 my Macbook pro doesn't go to sleep when I shut the screen. The battery drains out totally and the computer comes on only when it is booted up.

Any known issues with this upgrade?

Imac, Macbook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.8), 2.66 GHz Intel core 2 duo, 2GB RAM; 2.66 GHz, Intel core2 duo, 4

Yes, the sleep problem seems to be sorted out.

No! You did not removed launch2net. There are still error messages, if I am not wrong, reading the dates of your pasted messages.

Please try to deinstall everything. Perhaps you succeed better with the help of Spotlight. You have to search for novamedia and launch2net and nmnetmgr

Remove everything with this name and the application itself too (in the Application folder).

I've tried looking for everything. Obviously I'm not very good at this. Today I found some more Launch2net files and removed them. But there still seems to be more, Where will I find all of these. Spotlight is not finding these files. :

Search once again for "nmnetmgrd" with spotlight. Remove this folder (this is a daemon running in the background causing this error messages). You have of course to remove also the original Application "launch2net" in the Applications-Folder. Search also once again for "launch2net" and "novamedia" just to be sure, there is nothing left on your HD ...

For the flushing screen at start up start a new thread please!

Madinmumbai our thread becomes tiring. I don't know to use spotlight, because I only use the Terminal to find and delete files.

Just to be sure make the following command in your Terminal (copy and paste it and <enter>):

sudo find / -iname "*nmnetmgrd*" -print

If your Shell found something you may do the same command with -delete at the end:

sudo find / -iname "*nmnetmgrd*" -delete

Be careful with this command! Please make the find also for

sudo find / -iname "*launch2net*" -print

and

sudo find / -iname "*novamedia*" -print

and tell me the results ...
