Is the iTunes store down?

The same in Portugal and Spain... Not working applestore also.

Surely Apple would think to have some sort of site where one could go and see the status of the itunes store, app store, apple store etc.... And yet - there doesn't appear to be one.

They must be aware they are down - and they ought to be posting some sort of update so users know what's up.

Surprised at this lapse in customer service from Apple.

I'm able to log into iTunes on my PC now! Was getting a "timeout" error for the past few hours...let me try to download an app and see if it works, will update in a minute!

Edit: Getting an error again 😟 Thanks for getting my hopes up Apple! *evil eye*

Edit 2: IT'S WORKING! Am able to download apps on my iPhone!

It's UP! its downloaded app upgrades. 7.14pm EST. Try again guys.

Just spoke with customer service and they said to try in a couple of hours..no real information about the whys or hows

I'm so glad I don't use Apple for books. The iPad makes a decent indoor reader, but Kindle provides better service, better prices, and far more content. Unfortunately, booth iBooks and Kindle are lousy at sorting content. Books belong in folders or groups too, sorted by series and volume #. Not by title or author, which serves little use.
