May sound like a stupid question, but what's the difference between new playlist and new playlist folder in Itunes? I had playlists set up before, but they got wiped out so I've gotten all my music reloaded, just need this question answered. Thanks so much!

A playlist folder is a folder, and you can drag individual playlists into it. It is just a convenience for organizing, and is very handy once you have accumulated a lot of playlists.
Creating and deleting playlists and playlist folders does not affect the songs in your library, so feel free to experiment and try them out.
