foscam wireless ip camera

I have a Foscam FI8918 wireless ip camera. I have a new airport extreme base station. The camera was previously set up on a linksys router and I had dyndns host a static ip so I could access the camera from the internet. Since installing the new Airpprt extreme I have been unable to set this camera up. Please give me instructions on how to do this exclusively with my iMac. I have the ip camera tool on my iMac and can see the camera when plugged into the Airport extreme via ethernet cable. I am, however, unable to see the camera via wifi after following the instructions. I did spend around 5hrs setting this camera up with a pc running windows xp and the linksys router. The airport utility and airport extreme are just a bit different and I am just learning how to use them. Any hel would be greatly appreciated.

Okay so I'm new to the community and have read through the write up by natecrna (thank you btw!) and I'm successfully viewing the nursery wirelessly through our home network. I guess my question pertains to being able to view the cameras on my iPhone using the cellular network and how to go about doing that? Here's what I have:

Foscam FI8910W

Airport Extreme Base Station

MacBook Pro

I'm using the app Foscam Surveillance Pro

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

I have 3 Foscam cameras all setup wirelessly in my home and they all work great, I use the Foscam Surveillance Pro app and the Netcam2go apps on my iphone and ipad,

I can be anywhere and can view all the cameras simultaneously.

These cameras work great, I'd suggest buying them, they just came out with a new model.

*Little off topic**

Hello Norm, I just bought the 3-pack of Foscam FI8905W IP Cameras. The installation CD will not work on my MBP (10.8.4) even though the company says their product will work with Mac. If I try to launch the installation program directly from the CD I see a green zip icon appear for a second or two on my dock then it dissapears. No program begins. I downloaded the zip file then opened it and was able to get the IP Camera Tool.app - it just opens a white box that does nothing. I then opened the contents of couple layers and found the actual program so I tried to run it. It runs the Terminal application forever but dows nothing. You say you have Foscam IP cameras - how did you install them on a Mac?

I looked at your earlier post and you say to plug it into the router directly. I did even though the tech support guy says to plug it into the computer.

The white screen that was blank immediately showed an IP address. I clicked on it, read the manual to find out what the password and user info was, and I can actually see the room where the camera is. All I have to do now is figure out how to use it 100% wirelessly. Thank you - I was about to send it back as a product that was not as advertised.
