I want to be able to add the current playing song to the new/any existing playlist on the phone, can it be done?
iOS 4
For New Playlist,
Go to Playlist and Select Add Playlist,
It will pop up songs list and you have to find current song and add in to that playlist.
you can add more songs too.
For Old Playlist,
Go to playlist and select the playlist.
Select edit on top of the playlist.
Add symbol will pop up on top left side.
Hit that and it will pop up songs list and you have to find current song and add in to that playlist.
If you have tons of songs, how to find current song?
Ans: Just scroll songs so fast you will see 'Voice symbol' next to current playing song. than add it.
Still no solution to this!?! Seriously!?! How hard should it be to add the currently playing song to a playlist!?!
If you flip to the back of the album at the top there are 5 dots to give the current song a star rating. Click on 5 stars and it will be added to your "my top rated" playlist.
it's really annoying! this is such an essential and simple feature but there really seems no solution for it right now. not even a 3rd party app. as a dj i often listen through my whole librabry and then then want to add the current song to a playlist (it's not even possible to create folders on the iphone). please if anybody knows a solution for this let me know! best
It's easy, just click on 5 stars and it gets added to my top rated playlist. I use it all the time.
i want to add the tracks to different playlists for different music styles/mixes not just one.
Not sure how to easily add current songs to multiple playlists. Just to "my top rated".
Why is it so hard for apple to add such a simple feature to the iPhone?

I've also created a feature request but no answer from apple 😟
My $30 Sandisk Nano allows my to add "now playing" song to a new or existing playlist while listening to my music with 2 simple clicks... add to->Playlist.. Done...and move on with my shuffle. This is why i stoped using itunes on my iphone for music. And they day apple adds this featureis is the day I will start using Itunes on my iphone again.. this is such a easy add on for apple.. i really hope they hear us out on this request.

I think the rating idea is the most useful. You still need a computer but when you sync your phone all of the ratings will appear in a playlist on your computer and you can move them all over to another playlist at once and you don't have to look for them again. I agree apple should make another option but computers are maybe easier but not much. Maybe they want people to need their computer??? I could be paranoid.
You can also save set of songs as four stars to add to a different playlist. Or three etc. if you don't actually use your ratings that is but I know I don't.
It's so lame that Apple's iTunes cannot provide this useful capability yet. I'm still waiting. Maybe they will force us to buy a new iPhone just to get this feature!
