I had posted several days ago that hubby was using Yahoo and that I had his calendar on my phone too and neither of us were having issues. Well, today that changed. Everything disappeared. I don't even have the option of selecting a yahoo calendar within the phone calendar even though it's turned on the mail settings.

@sherry0618 -- my wife and I have nearly the same problem.  One of our two shared calendars is completly gone, while the other shared calendar is working pretty close to normal (synch speed is very slow, but it does eventually get there).

I was hit with this glitch just after upgrading to iOS 5 (love/hate upgrades!), but found a solution to get the iPhone calendar to sync with my Yahoo calendar.

Assuming you already have your yahoo account set up, do the following:

    1. Go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Yahoo Calendars, Reminders

    2. Add a new calendar account (leave your existing Yahoo account setup alone - don't delete it!)

    3. Add server caldav.calendar.yahoo.com

    4. Add your login info

    5. Go to Advanced Settings and type this Account URL:

    https://caldav.calendar.yahoo.com/principals/users/yourusername@yahoo.com/

    6. Load your iPhone calendar and the calendar should populate.

This did it for me. Good luck.

Correction. Step 1 should read "Go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars"

Thank you very, very, very much!!!!  I have back my calendar in my iPhone 4. For two days I was in a big pain!! By the way, I would like to have a backup calendar. I havn't been able to upload my iPhone's calendar with my Gmail account. Anybody?

This hasn't worked for me unless I'm doing something wrong.  Do I need to sync my phone to my pc again after this change?

  • sherry0618 Level 1 Level 1 (80 points)

I was all set to try out the suggestion above and thought before I did all that I'd check the calendar. Everything is back to normal! I haven't found out yet from hubs if his calendar is working today or not.

After some trial and error, I got this to work after first activating iCloud in Settings and turning on Calendars. See if you've got this set up, then try my suggestion.

  • leoncel Level 1 Level 1 (0 points)

I have done exactly as RoccoNYC has sugested, and worked fine with me, without syncing my iPhone with the PC.

All of a sudden my calendar is back!!!!  I don't know if it was your suggestions and it took some time or Yahoo did something but whatever and whoever  THANK YOU!  I have a lot of duplicate entries but I don't care at least everything is back now.

After iPhone update, my Yahoo calendar disappeared from my ICal ( Caledar on Iphone). Yahoo had a glitch too. Just erase your Yahoo Email  account from your iPhone , then add the Yahoo Email account again. Voila, all my stuff was back on my iphone. I assume Google calendar would be fixed by deleting GMail from iphone then adding it anew.

Had the same problem but with iPad 2. I solved the problem by changing this: in Fetch new data>Push is set to Off, and then Fetch new data>Advanced>Yahoo! Set to Fetch. It works for me. Hope this will help you. Have a great day!

I just received this mail from YAHOO, and am happy to share it with all of you:

    Hello Leon,

Thank you for writing to Yahoo! Calendar.

I understand events are not getting updated on your iPhone. I apologize

for this inconvenience; Let me help you with this.

If you recently upgraded the operating system on your iDevice(iPhone,

iPad, iPod Touch) such as with the recent release of iOS 5 software for

Apple iDevices, that could be the cause of the missing information.

You can delete the Yahoo! account from your Apple iDevice and recreate

it, forcing a new sync, which should bring all your information over

    from Yahoo! Calendar.

To remove your Yahoo! Calendar CalDAV account from your iDevice:

    1. Go to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch "Settings" application

    2. Tap "Mail, Contacts, Calendars"

    3. Tap "Yahoo! - Calendars, Reminders"

    4. Tap "Delete Account", Confirm deletion by tapping "Delete Account"

    once again.

To sync your iDevice with Yahoo! Calendar:

    1. Go to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch "Settings" application

    2. Tap "Mail, Contacts, Calendars"

    3. Tap "Add Account"

    4. Tap "Other" and then tap "Add CalDAV Account"

    5. For the "Server," you can simply type "yahoo"

    6. Now, type in the Yahoo! user name and password you use to sign in to

    your calendar

    7. Once you click "Save," the iPhone or iPod Touch will verify your user

    name and password

    8. Next time you open the Calendar app on your iDevice, you will be able

to view your Yahoo! Calendar events and layers.

Please keep in mind that any events you enter in the iDevice Calendar

app will not sync to Yahoo! Calendar unless you create/edit the event to

use the Yahoo! Calendar and not another calendar that resides on your

iDevice. Previous to iOS 5, all events would sync to Yahoo! Calendar no

matter which calendar layer they were entered into on the iDevice

    Calendar app.

If you are running iOS 4 software or newer, you will be able to sync

your Yahoo! Calendar to your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch without plugging

it into your computer. You can check your current version by going to

"Settings" > "General" > "About" > "Version" on your Apple iDevice.

If you still get the same issue , please reply to this email.

Thank you again for contacting Yahoo! Calendar.

    Regards,

    Ben

Starting yesterday, I'm getting a "Password Incorrect" prompt for Yahoo Calendar. It asks me to enter my password, but then I get the same prompt. No problem befoire IOS 5. I tried the above suggestion but I keep getting Invalid Password even though it's the same password online.

  • Ecirb Level 1 Level 1 (0 points)

I am getting the same error. Yahoo continues to prompt for a password. This is very frustrating.
