Why are my photos importing out of sequence when uploading from an sd card?

Probably because you have different Sort chosen from the one on the Card? (View Menu -> Sort Photos)

thank you! what would the proper "sort" be? how do i know what "sort" is chosen for my card?
The card is probably sorted alphanumerically in ascending order, i.e. a1, a2, a3, etc. So set your view option to: Sort by Title Ascending. Then check to see if that's correct. If not change it.

ok great! it worked, except it was when I changed it to sort by "title" that it went it to sequence...hmm.. don't know what that means exactly, but it worked! thanks again..
