Adobe CS4 running on OS X v10.7 Lion
Will Adobe CS4 have any issues running on OS X v10.7 Lion? Will any other commonly used program have problems?

technically it should work like all intel/universal software.
I have elements 9 ( which is photoshop "dumbed down" 32bits, and it is based on a mix between CS4 and CS5 , at least it has features like hardware accelerated clone stamp and content aware brushes that rely on working OpenGL in OSX ) and have no issues with it in Snow or Lion.
Of course only with CS5 / 5.1 / 5.5 one could unleash the 64bit and OpenGL improvements under Snow or Lion.
While Adobe offers free bugfix updates for all CS5 and also smaller ones for Elements 9 - CS4 will not see any new bugfixes I guess.
other apps : depends. Office 2008/11 are working fine. aperture3, ilife 11 and iwork 09 have been freely updated by apple to fully support Lions new features like fullscreen ( and versions in iwork ) . Final Cut X,Motion5 and Compressor4 were always designed for Lion in mind, so no problems to fear.
Thus until now : no problems with existing apps; just run software updaters for all of them.

I researched this issue yesterday before I upgraded to Lion and couldn't find anything other than the possible issue with Java Runtime described on Adobe's site. I installed Lion and updated to Java For Mac OS X 10.7. However, both InDesign CS4 and Illustrator CS4 crash when I attempt to print. As soon as I select "Print" the spinning rainbow ball appears for a short time, then the programs crash. I'm not having any problems printing from Acrobat Pro 9, Photoshop CS4 or Photoshop Elements 8. Any ideas?
Thanks!
I use Adobe Products for more then 10 years now and none of them ever required or had anything to do with the presence of a installed Java Runtime; not on a mac - not on Windows.
The only thing Photoshop/Premiere rely on was and stil is : Quicktime which on Lion is version 10.1 ( QT X) .
The printing issue might also have nothing to do with Adobe at all but maybe Lion or printer backend related - I don't know. I have not printed any document on Lion yet. Check the printer installation in the OS and whatever options it gives via the control panel item in Systemsettings.
In my usual fit of enthusiasium I've just installed Lion on my MacbookPro and iMac. Now lots of the software on my Macbook is oldish and lo and behold didn't work under Lion. Lots of curses but only to be expected so I reinstalled snow leopard. Now the iMac is a different matter my software is up to-date (I don't consider CS4 obsolete) So inDesign loads, can be worked on, but will not print - the spinning beachball tips up spins for about a minute then the program crashes. I've tried exporting to PDF which will print after about a 3 minute pause. I've searched for help online. There is some chat about installing Java Runtime which I've done, Trashed the pref files (hunting down the library is fun in Lion). Adobe of course are keen to look the other way. Print Word docs fine. Tried different printers same problem.
Wanted to update everyone here on my earlier post. For anyone still having problems printing from Adobe CS3 or CS4 products (InDesign/Illustrator crashing after selecting "Print," but before print dialogue box appears), AIsolve over on the Adobe forums has posted a fix at http://forums.adobe.com/message/3820913#3820913 .
