"OS X Lion - Waiting" Can't download Lion.

I used my tethered iPhone to download part of the file until there was less than 2GB remaining to be downloaded. At that point, I went back to my broadband through my 2Wire modem and it downloaded the remaing portion without any problems.

I'm another one who has been stuck on waiting for hours. Just getting an error has occured. So getting the apple guys to ring me tomorrow! Have to say, this is doing my head in big time!!!

Hey, gang, there's definately something with the 2Wire modems! I am downloaded and up and running Lion now!

I also was using a 2Wire 2701 modem and NOTHING!

I swapped it out for an Actiontech M1000 I had in a box. I set up my Mac to use it, went to the App Store and clicked on the all too familiar "INSTALL" for Lion and WHAM! It started downloading immediately and I have it installed. (1.5 hrs to DL and about 33 minutes to install)

Once I was done I reconnected my 2Wire 2701 and I have had NO PROBLEMS so far!

I've advised Apple Tech Supt of the issue as well. It would appear that 2Wire modems are not compatible with Mac App Store (large) downloads.

Same problem =S this ***** a lot!

Same problem here, no TWire Modem, I paused my download yesterday, tried to resume today...

Nothing happened so I tried cancelling my download and starting again, it has been sitting in my Dock "Waiting..." for about an hour now.

Exact same situation, 0% and waiting and no progress at all. I can't unlike others "Cancel Download" either. When I click it, nothing happens.

I will try a restart and kick it off again.

That's the exact same thing I had going on last night. Not sure if I'll give it another try tonight. I know I'm not going to go out and buy a new modem just to download an OS update.😠

Hope Apple finds a solution cause I have the exact problem !! It's really frustrating. I paused te download, and when I tried to resume..."waiting"...and still waiting...

I can click 'install' in my 'purchased' tab in the app store but it goes to do something for a few seconds and then teh 'install' button goes dark again. Nothing going on. I just hope that it will install at a later time? I dare not to switch the computer off....will try again later or tomorrow.....😟

It seems Apple's decision to release Lion via internet download has backfired. I read that they are also going to try to make it available in USB form, however for those of us who have already paid for it and are 'waiting' for it to download/install, that isn't helpful.

Apple needs to fix this. Grr Argh!
