Upgraded to OS X lion and now I cannot connect to the Internet. Wifi or hard wired. Any ideas?

I have no problems with my admin account, but my users can not connect. talked to apple support and was told to either let the user accounts have admin right or wait for an update. Have any ideas?

I had the same problem - I turned off the firewall and now my problem is fixed. THANKS.

wifiguru: I had this issue and followed the steps by typing in sudo mv... and sudo rm... commands. However, when I tried to run the sudo rm command it came back with no such file or directory. However, everything works now. I booted up several times and I now have internet connection. So thanks much!!

I have one question, even though I have the firewall back turned back on, is still virtually disabled by renaming that file???

I have managed to recreate the error (I have been error free for nearly a week) and then go back to normal operations again.

What I did was:

Error mode: set Channel to AUTO

Working mode: set Channel fixed to 5.

pls try it and verify yourself, but make sure you have a cable to connect your Mac to your APE, because when you can't get a wifi connection you can't change the channel either.

Superfletch was the correct answer for me! Don't remove anything. Just reboot everything!

tried all the suggestions from every site, and even tried some of my own.

Sorted it by uninstalling Cisco AnyConnect !! Luckily, I don't need to use that anymore anyway.....

Lion disappointed me. I choose to upgrade simply to use the iCloud service, to syn my contacts, bookmark, calendar etc. The wifi problem disturbed me for so long. After numerous attempts, I figured out inputting the TCP/IP and DNS maunally fixed the problems. It works for me, hope it works for those who still annyoned by Lion.

I had the same issue. I found that there was a Search Domain of home under the DNS settings. After removing this my connection worked fine.
