Preview Crashes at Launch

I use Peview a fair bit to open libraries of photos that are then pasted into reports. After upgrading to Lion, Preview crashes upon launch. Reading the log it indicates there was a bad instruction.

Has anyone else run into this or discovered a workaround yet?

Frustrating as ****. I've followed everyone's advice, and for the most part they all worked...for a day or so. Finally I created a new Downloads folder on my desktop for mail downloads, and oila! Preview is working again. I suspect it will crash again in a day or so, but at least for today I can open up important files without having to install that other pdf viewer.

I actually deleted the root user account I had set up and simply went back to my main account, a 2nd test account, and the visitor account, and they all seem to be working fine now. But this has been the case with every fix so far, so I'll check back to deliver an update. In the meantime I'm hoping my IT guy shows up at work one of these days so I can have him look into it.

Also, where did you create the new downloads folder? And did you remember to switch to it in your mail preferences? I didn't mention I left the old downloads folder as is, and only created a new downloads folder on my desktop specifically for the mail app. Which, am I the only one who thinks it's time Apple gives the mail app a name?
