Since I installed iTunes 10.4 for Windows (Windows 7, x64), I can no longer use my Multimedia Keys for Play/Pause and so on.
I have a Logitech Illuminated and tried all the usual tricks like mmkeys.dll, but nothing worked.
Any help is much appreciated. Thank you.

I tried everythin, but I'm not able to save the new file. (and yes I'm admin)

Yeah it made it work for all of us... that have Logitech keyboards.
Everyone else is stuck with this itunes update that "fixed multimedia keyboards not working", which did nothing.
been searching several hours a day, for weeks now, think I finally found the solution and than this stupid accesthing won't let me save it...
Does it give you an error? If so, what error?
It's really easy:
Either take ownership of the file (or the whole folder), or do this:
- Open the file, edit it, and save it at another location (like your Desktop).
- Copy and paste the file from the new location to its original location. Windows will ask you if you want to override the file.
This will definitely work. If not, you are doing something wrong. Good luck!
I didn't right click 'notepad' to 'run as admin', now I did that it's working!

iTunes 10.5 finally fixes the problem automatically, without these useful tricks, also for other keyboards...

For me the problems is not solved, I have a Razer Lycosa Keyboard and Itunes 10.5
Awesome, it kind of worked for my LX710 combo, all but the shuffle button which is still dead.
Same here with iTunes 10.5 and Razer Tarantula. Multimedia keys are not working.

I don't know, but after installing it and without rebooting it began working. I have a Dell XPS 15 with the multimedia keys of the integrated keyboard. The mmkeys.dll file was on its place...
