Since I installed iTunes 10.4 for Windows (Windows 7, x64), I can no longer use my Multimedia Keys for Play/Pause and so on.
I have a Logitech Illuminated and tried all the usual tricks like mmkeys.dll, but nothing worked.
Any help is much appreciated. Thank you.

Guessing, but what about reinstall drivers for Logitech?
I rely on CCleaner 3.08 alone for cleaning scraps and registry.
Could always wait for 10.4.1 - there is always .1 in short order - and go back to 10.3.x
I already did that, but without any luck. I'm guessing that iTunes is the primary problem here, not my Keyboard/drivers. I was hoping for a workaround, but I guess I need to wait for a fix from Apple.
Same problem, I just updated iTunes 10.4 and with my logitech it no longer works. While the previous version worked fine ... ðŸ˜

And the same here as well, this time with a Logitech diNovo Edge keyboard on Windows 7 32bit. So it's pretty clearly a conflict between the Logitech drivers and the latest iTunes.
Unfortunately this will probably not be a high priority issue for Apple, but maybe the next version will offer a fix nonetheless. Not sure whether or not Logitech could offer a fix also.
And here I was, being one of the very few iTunes users on Windows not having problems...ah, well, all good things must come to an end, it seems... :-)
Just did a little research and found this little taskbar program, which solves the issue for Windows users. If You, like me, already have dedicated Logitech media buttons, it automatically configures and utilizes them. Nice! Not as nice as iTunes still working natively, bu hey!

Oh, and it uses less that 4MB of RAM! Just put it in Your autostart for now and check after every iTunes and/or Logitech driver update, if it's working again without it.

got the same problem with my Logitech media Mouse. the funny thing i just found out while wirting this is that the button work when itunes is minimized. It's like Apple got the whole problem of itunes out of focus backwards now..... hope it works for others. i'll just pray it will be fixed.

Basically the directory where you put the mmkeys.dll files is gone. Well it has for me! I do get a weird option where the visualiser button is on the meny named Global Media Keys! Weird eh?
CTRL + , to open the preferences doesn't work, either. iTunes shows CTRL + I as the new shortcut in the menu, but that is the wrong shortcut. That shortcut let's you edit the information of a song. iTunes 10.4 seems to have a lot of bugs. It is also not possible to copy and paste covers from the clipboard to iTunes, but that is another issue, which at least I find less annoying than the lack of working multimedia keys.
I had the same problem with my Illuminated Keyboard and version 6.20 of SetPoint (Windows 7 64-bit). I upgraded to version 6.30 without any change, but installing HKTunes solved the problem. Thanks!
Installing HKTunes "fixes" the problem of using the media keys in some circumstances.
It doesn't work when iTunes is the focussed window, and the shuffle button doesn't work.
It's a nice fix for now, but it's far from a permanent solution.
Same here with my Razer Tarantula and Windows 7 64-bit. Multimedia keys stop working.
