Failure to install lion. Hard drive irreparably damaged

Have 10.6.8, 4 gigs ram. Dl'd and ran Lion install rebooted to message that hard drive was damaged and could not be repaired. Now cannot reboot my machine without that message. Put my original snow leopard in drive but can't get anywhere. Also, I cannot hit the continue or any button with my trackpad.

Hello, I am in the same situation as you were...but without any file correctly saved with timemachine - I thought I had done it properly... -

Installation of Lion has stopped , telling me the disk was damaged and needed to be repaired...

After reading all your topics, I've tried to:

- do the normal verifiying and repairng sik with the utilites : Not fixed

- do the fsck... by the terminal : Not fixed

- do the Pram : not fixed

I am only able do start on the Snowleopard disk...

I am realy frigntened to lose all the files and applications on my disk I realy need for work.

Is someone able to help me and to tell me a solution I haven't seen yet?

Thank You!
