Hi everyone!
Safari become very lag when I open a new tab or pages, and when I checked Activity Monitor, the one that made my mac lag is Safari Web Content, it can eats 80-90% of CPU.However, it only happened if I open new tab/pages. I never experienced lag with other browser such as Firefox before.
Anyone ever experienced this? Any suggestion or solution will be appreciated.

I had several months of high Safari CPU usage leading to freezes.
I tend to have a lot of Safari windows opn, and what finally solved it for me was installing AdBlock: no problems since!
Got to love Adblock. You must have had some rogue ads sucking CPU.
does adblock stop showing ALL banner ads?
I do online marketing so its helpful for me to see the ads and whatnot....
AdBlock has filters to determine which ads are acceptable. You can use existing whitelists or specify your own acceptable urls. You can also pause AdBlock.

Having looked at the reviews, I decided to use AdBlock (getadblock.com). It is probably not on the app store because it has a pay what you want policy.
the new Flash update made flash using most of the CPU in safari in the background, i uninstalled flash and all is ok now. So, .... i need flash now... 😝
