Alt-Tab style gesture now missing

Does anybody know if the old three-finger side to side swipe for switching between apps is still available? By default it is now switch between full-screen apps. I've switched that to the four-finger swipe but I'm finding the swipe up for "Mission Control" and then a mouse move to select and then click to switch extremely unnatural.

These much vaunted gestures don't seem to have been thought through. The ridiculous and counter intuitive change to two finger scroll (when it isn't immediately apparent how to switch it back) which also works the opposite way round to iOS in its new default (Back to the Mac? Really?) and now an easy to use gesture has been replaced.

Looks like Better Touch Tool is the way to go. I can't believe Apple wouldn't just make this an option. Now I have to run yet another app in the menubar, which kind of *****. But thank god it's here.

Making a donation now to these guys, because this really saved my day.

I too would really like to be able to use the old 4-finger swipe from Snow Leopard.

I cannot believe how much I miss it. Thank you so much everyone for saving me the bother of trying to find out how.

I tended to use Alt-Tab to toggle between open apps - very handy for copy and past between apps, or the 4-finger swipe to choose which open app I want to get to. Thank goodness Alt-Tab still works.

Resorting to Alt-Tab repeated seems to be the only thing I can do right now to get close to the equivalent of the old 4-finger swipe.

In Lio, 3-finger swipe is great and so is the 3-finger pinch, except that it would be nice if Launchpad showed dots under the active apps. It does seem really weird not to offer the old 4-finger swipe. Why deliberately break something that works well?

The near equivalent to the old 4-finger swipe on Snow Leopard for the iPhone is the double-click on the dimple. So, to be like IOS you still need something. Nothing wrong with the old 4-finger swipe being that thing so far as I can tell.

Oops! Did I write Alt-Tab? I meant to write Cmd-Tab of course. Alt-Tab is MS Windows convention. We are being forced to fall back on Windows style conventions in the latest MacOS? Something is definitely wrong here.
