Can't control Lion macmini with ARD 3.5.1 client

Title says it,

I can't control my just with Lion upgraded Macmini with ARD 3.5.1 client. I have also upgraded to ARD 3.5 on my snow leopard macbook pro. Before the upgrade of ARD on my MBP I could control the macmini, now it doesn't even connect/see the Macmini (that was also before I upgraded the macmini client to 3.5.1 BTW)

Neither can I use VNC from my iPhone anymore. Before I could wake up the macmini even on WiFi when using the macbook pro or iPhone/iPad.

So it seems an issue with client 3.5.1 on teh Lion Macmini.

anyone else has this issue?

thx

I tried the two commands on my wife's MacBook Pro and got command not found.

The problem I am having is ARD connection issue between my iMac and her MBP. Each

time I get a Connection failed issue. Never a prblem until I instaill OS X 10.7 on both

and the new ARD 3.5.1 on the iMac

Is there anyway to the access OFF and access ON from the Finder?

I am totally lost on how to clear the Connection failed issue.

I tried unchecking, rechecking Remote Management/Screen Sharing and even tried turning off AFP and enabling SMB, stopped making my Home Folder public in sharing to no avail. File Sharing still works, but boy, the lack of Screen Sharing is killing me!

I tried typing the sudo command into Terminal on my Mac Mini (where I'm trying to mirror the virtual display onto my MacBook Air), but it to no avail.

The first command line Apple suggests:

kickstart - restart -agent

Asks for the admin password. After entering it, Terminal tells me the "command not found."

Tried your suggestion:

kickstart -deactivate -configure -access - off

Also tells me "command not found"

What the **** am I doing wrong?

Ditto, ditio. Thank you very much. I have been having fits with ARD since installing 10.7. When I

would try to cnnect to my wife's MacBook Pro from the iMac, ARD came back with a Connection

error. I tied everything I could think of and nothiing would clear the error.

I finally tried the tip to open the Sharing pane on the MBP and toggled the Remote Managementg

on and off a few times. Like magic the next time I tried to connect it worked perfect.

Thank you again for a simple fix to a show-stopper problme
