Does anyone else have double icons in their LaunchPad? If you look in the picture, I have two iCals, two iTunes, two chess, etc. Only one of them works. The other always closes with an error message. Is there a way to fix it manually, or do I have to wait for an update from Apple?

I believe I have found the solution to this problem on my computer. I used to create Alias's of all the applications I used regularly and kept a folder of these Alias's in the Dock so that I could quickly open them. It is these Alias's that are showing up as duplicate icons in Launchpad. When I trashed these Alias's the duplicates went away.

Same here, my double icons are with Spotify. Im going to try and "AppZapper" my Spotify and see what happens.
Thank you! This worked perfectly for me as I don't have multiple aliases. The duplicate icons that showed up for me happened after updating Safari and iTunes.
