Ever since I updated to Lion, my Mac's can no longer printer to my Dell 2330dn Laser Printer on the network. When they send the printer a print job, it comes back saying "Print file was not accepted." Any ideas?
iMac, Mac OS X (10.7)
I deleted the printer and reinstalled using the suggested generic driver. In my case, it works, even in two sided option. Cheers

I am having the exact same issue with the Dell 2330 DN since upgrading to Lion with no solution in sight. Anyone get this working yet?
I don't have a solution but I do have an interesting obersvation. I am having the same issue printing directly over the office network but I was able to print today through a co-workers MacBook Air who had his printer sharing turned on. Doesn't make any sense to me.
I don't know whats going on, got to think it's a driver issue, and honestly, I think it's going to be up to Dell to provide a solution since it's their hardware, not Apple, more I think about it. So going to hound Dell to make a driver for Lion that works with the 2330dn!
I succeded to print by adding the network printer through here: https://localhost:631/admin
I don't know if the printing is slower this way but at least it prints now...

I'm having the same issue with the upgrade to Lion, now my 2330 printer no longer prints. I attempted to go thru the local host but was confused on how to do it. I call Apple but they were not any help. Can someone help me out. My printer ip is 192.168.1.3

I had the same issue with Lion 10.7.2 on an iMac using the 2330dn on a Wi-Fi network. I installed the Dell driver A01 but no joy. It gave me the same issue ie print file not accepted. I then tried changing to a postscript driver from one of the menus on the Mac...... same result. Also tried a PCL driver same result. Finally I went to Print and scan under System Preferences, found the printer, right clicked it and selected reset printing system to get rid of it. I then did an add printer by hitting the + button and re-installed the Dell 2330 option. I also ticked share this printer on the network and and then clicked Sharing Preferences and ticked the 2330 and Printer Sharing. After that it worked. This is a very flakey printer and driver software. It works on one of my XP machines but on the other yet they both run the same OS and service pack. I'll be convinced this issue will be resolved if it keeps working for a week!!!
simply use generic postscript. works fine.
Why answer a 3 year old discussion when the info you give is wrong? If you read aspego63's answer he use the generic driver which does not work. BTW. Mountain Lion is also an outdated version of OSX, so this is an irrelevant thread...
