Is it possible to turn off resume?

Is there a way to turn off resume? I'm asking becuase its kind of starting to get annoying.

Thank for the quick respond. I know about that but every time I close an app and open it back up what ever I was doing is still there. For example earlier today I was working on a presntation on Keynote, I quite it and a few hours later I opened the app and what I was working on was still there. I guess it's not called resume then?

Agreed Erik... a major PITA.


During the Appleseed program this was one of the main gripes about Lion and even after all of our ERs Apple didn't listen.


I'm all for the option to activate Resume... it's just that many of us also want to completely deactivate it for some of our systems.


Since Apple didn't listen to us during seeding... I imagine it will take a third-party app like TinkerTool, Onyx, or Cocktail to completely deactivate Resume in the future.
