Download All Free Updates Not Working

Over the past few days, I've noticed that the "Download All Free Updates" won't work in iTunes to get the latest versions of my Apps. Usually, I can download them all individually without an issue but sometimes one gets "stuck" and even though it downloads, it still shows that an update is available. When I click the "Download All Free Updates" button (or text), it does show activitiy with the iTunes store but the downloads never start. Also, if I select "Check for available downloads", nothing happens either. This is happening on both the new 10.4 version and the previous version.

Any ideas?

I have the same problem and have found this solution:

Here is the reason shown in this thread:

The problem was that I had an application no longer available in the Canadian store (my account) but only available in the US store. I deleted that application from my application list and iTunes let me use the "Update All' button properly.

But how can I find apps like that!

+1. This problem started for me a few days ago on Snow Leopard 10.6.8 with iTunes 10.3.x. It now continues after I have upgraded to Lion 10.7.0 and iTunes 10.4.

I have apps from multiple national iTunes Stores that are not available in the US store (my main store) and that has never caused a problem with Download All before. I am skeptical that the above post that Jochen2d references is the actual solution.

I am also having this problem. It started early yesterday morning and I just thought the store was getting hammered because of Lion so I left it alone.

After I upgraded to Lion and updated iTunes it was still happening. I can download the updates individually though.

This morning I only had ONE app update and clicking the Download All button wouldn't work either.

The Download All Free Apps button did start working again today but it still hasn't completely solved my problem. I'm still getting one app that appears to download but doesn't disappear from the update screen and doesn't sync with my iPad. I can download the update via my iPad directly and the app update then disappears from iTunes but then the next new app requiring an update gets stuck. If 3 apps need updating, two will update and disappear but one always seems to remain.
